Kitchen Assistant
A key role in our busy lakeside kitchen, preparing and cooking food and keeping standards high.
Weekdays and weekends on a rota, at least one weekend day a week · Partridge Lakes Cafe, Culcheth
Join the Partridge Lakes Cafe team: a fast paced, friendly place where great hospitality matters as much as the surroundings. We are looking for people happy to work 20 to 40 hours a week, including weekends, on a rota.
As a Kitchen Assistant you will play a key role in our busy lakeside kitchen, supporting food preparation and cooking while keeping standards of cleanliness and efficiency high.
You will be part of a close knit team serving quality food to our loyal customers, many of whom visit several times a week. As a small team, flexibility and a willingness to help cover shifts matter. Previous kitchen experience helps but is not essential.
What you will do
- Cooking and food preparation, including the grill plate and fryers
- Preparing ingredients and presenting food to our standards
- Food hygiene and safety at all times
- Washing up and end of shift kitchen cleaning
- Cleaning fryers, grill plates and other equipment
- Helping at the front hatch and till when needed

- Hands on, and not afraid of the non glamorous side of kitchen work
- A team player who stays calm when it is busy
- Flexible, reliable and a good communicator
